Attorney Michael Peay of Dallas, TX; criminal

The state of Texas presented Michael D. Peay with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Oklahoma Law School.

The District 6-A Greivance Committee found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Committed a serious crime, or committed any other criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 10-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mike.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Mike practices with Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP at 1601 Elm Street in Dallas, Texas.
