Attorney Marcus Faubion Jr. of Friendswood, TX; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Marcus Eugene Faubion Jr.  with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

The 295th District Court of Harris County found Marcus guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to keep separate disputed funds
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Marcus by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Marcus.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Marcus practices at 1414 South Friendswood in Friendswood, Texas.
