The state of Texas presented Thomas E. Dixon III with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.
The 55th District Court of Harris County found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

Knowingly fail to disclose a material fact to a third person when disclosure is necessary to avoid making the lawyer a party to a criminal act or knowingly assisting a fraudulent act perpetrated by a client

Failed to properly supervise office staff

Solicited future clients with communications that were false, fraudulent, misleading deceptive or contained unfair statements or claims

Shared or promised to share fees with non-lawyer

Improperly solicited prospective clients (ambulance chasing 101)

Charged or collected a clearly excessive or illegal fee

Solicitations for prospective clients contained communications involving coercion, duress, fraud, overreaching, intimidation, undue influence, or harassment

Knowingly violated rules or assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship

Engaged in conduct that constitutes vexatious litigation
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.
