Attorney Mark Hoak of Arlington, TX; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas presented Mark Alan Hoak with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Temple University Law School.

The District 7-B Grievance Committee found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide any meaningful legal services to client
  • Refused to return client file upon termination
  • Failed to provide client with accounting re: fees paid or charged
  • Committed a serious crime, or committed any other criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Mark practices with the Law Office of Mark Hoak at 1307 West Abram Street in Arlington, Texas.
