Attorney Michael Shelton of Houston; lying loser

The state of Texas presented Michael E. Shelton with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

The District 4-F Disciplinary Committee found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Lied to client her case was proceeding
  • Gross negligence led to statute of limitations tolling on client’s case
  • Failed to provide promised services on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mike.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Mike practices with The Shelton Law Firm at 2777 Allen Parkway in Houston, Texas.
