Former Judge Arnold Jones II of Goldsboro, NC; convicted of bribery

The state of North Carolina provided Arnold Jones II with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

In July 2016, Arnie was charged with a three-count indictment charging Jones with promising and paying a bribe to a public official, promising and paying a gratuity to a public official, and corruptly attempting to influence an official proceeding.

Arnie the Dumbo unwittingly offered the bribe to an undercover FBI officer which included two cases of Bud Light and $100 in cash to pressure his wife’s mobile phone provider to provide her text message records to the agent.

In late October 2016, a jury took a total of 30 minutes to convicted Arnie of bribing an FBI officer to get text messages between his wife and another man.

What kind of Cheapskate thinks he could offer a bribe of 2 cases of Bud Light and $100 to have someone force a phone company to disclose confidential information about one’s spouse? You must wonder how in the hell this buffoon (my apologies to buffoons was ever allowed to ascended to the bench.

Arnie was sentenced to 2-years in the joint and fined $150,000.
