Judge Kathy Stein of Lexington, KY; Dumbo, repeat offender

First and foremost, it should be noted that this isn’t Kathy’s first bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. To view her prior conduct, visit the URL listed at the end of this article.

The state of Kentucky presented Kathy Stein with a law license in 1978 after she graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

Gov. Steve Beshear was duped into appointing Kathy as a Fayette County Judge in 2013.  Kathy didn’t get the appointment because she was the most qualified lawyer in the Lexington area.  She got it because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Kentucky Judicial Commission found Judge Stein guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain high standards of conduct (What standards?)
  • Failed to treat all parties appearing before her fairly
  • Failed to provide every person with a legal interest in a proceeding the right to be heard (due process)
  • Failed to dispose of matters in an efficient manner

In one matter, Kathy granted permanent custody without holding an evidentiary hearing. In addition, she refused to delay the matter so that the other party could have a lawyer present. This is the same type of misconduct that Kathy the Moron was previously disciplined for.

As a direct consequence of her repeated misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Kathy be suspending her from the bench for 30 days.

And lastly, in a lame attempt at levity, the comedians sitting on the Supreme Court ordered that Kathy complete educational courses and training on “due process.” How asinine is this? So we have a judge who still doesn’t understand the term “due process” after graduating from law school thirty-nine years ago.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Kathy will be back on the bench as a Fayette County Circuit Court judge on or about April 17, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky.
