Trump’s 16th post-election lie: created 900 GM jobs

During a recent (mid-March 2017) speech in Ypsilanti Township, Michigan, Donald “Trumporleone” Trump went about assuring that he would retain his League Leading Liars Average when he took credit for several hundred jobs at GM. (Laura Clawson)

The Don went on to tell the Trump Toadies (TTs) in the crowd:

  • “We’re going to stop the jobs from leaving our country.”
  • “It’s not going to happen anymore, folks.”
  • “Already, we’re seeing jobs coming back.”
  • “Since my election … just today, breaking news, General Motors announced that they’re adding or keeping 900 jobs right here in Michigan.”

UAW local 602 president Bill Reed who represents GM employees in Lansing, said the union worked with the automaker to find new work for displaced workers. He went on to say though the displaced workers plan was unveiled on March 15, the negotiations with GM began several months earlier.  Mr. Reed went on to say:

  • “It doesn’t have anything to do with Donald Trump.”

How many times will The Don have to lie to his supporters about creating jobs before they decided to let him twist in the wind?

Why hasn’t The Don taken credit for the two new jobs created for strippers at the Scores Gentleman’s Club & Steakhouse located at 3174 Lake Worth Road in Palm Springs, Florida?
