Attorney Ralph Staples Jr. of Indianapolis; ethical leprechaun

The state of Indiana provided Ralph Winston Staples Jr. with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Indiana Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Ralph guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Ralph!)
  • Disobeyed an obligation under the rules or order of a court
  • Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to timely reply to court staff inquires re: failure to attend hearing
  • Found in contempt of court
  • Failed to comply with subpoena to produce documents

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Ralph by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018) Ralph practices with the Law Offices of Ralph W. Staples Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana.
