Judge Randy Stoker of Twin Falls, ID; Misogynist

The state of Idaho provided Randy John Stoker with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Idaho Law School.

Gov. Butch Otter was duped into appointing Randy to a seat on the Fifth District Court in Twin Falls in 2007. Randy didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified lawyer in the greater Twin Falls area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Judge Stoker was assigned to preside over the case of Cody Duane Scott Herrera who pled guilty to an offense relate to sex with minors. The 14-year-year old girl whom Herrera admitted to raping told the authorities that they had planned to watch a movie together, and he had entered her bedroom by climbing through a window. Instead, she said, he touched her sexually; did not stop when she asked him to; and went on to sexually assault her. At the time Herrera was 18. (Debra Cassens Weiss)

Stoker sentenced Herrera to five to 15 years in prison, but suspended the sentence for a “rider” program. The so-called “rider” program is a temporary six-month prison term that gives a judge “retained jurisdiction” over the case. If Herrera completes the “rider” program, Stoke will then rule whether he should be sentenced to prison or probation.

Stoker announced that during his probation, Herrera would be required to remain celibate (no sex) unless he marries. Stoker the Moron said the celibate mandate was necessary because Herrera told presentence investigators he’s had 34 sexual partners. Stoker specifically told Herrera in open court:

  • “If you’re ever on probation with this court, a condition of that will be you will not have sexual relations with anyone except who you’re married to, if you’re married.”

Harvard Law School lecturer Nancy Gertner told the New York Times that fornication laws are unconstitutional following the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2003 decision, Lawrence v. Texas, which struck down a law barring sodomy. Judges are free to impose probation restrictions related to the offense, but “there are limits that have to do with dignity and substantive due process,”

As we speak (March 2017), Randy the Misogynist continues to sit at as 5th Judicial District Court Judge in Twin Falls, Idaho.
