Attorney Jeremiah McCormick of Nitro, WV; slacker

The state of West Virginia provided Jeremiah McCormick with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia Law School.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Jeremiah guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Engaged in matters resulting in conflict of interest
• Improperly loaned money to a client
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jeremiah!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Jeremiah practices at 2602 First Avenue in Nitro, West Virginia.
