Attorney Leslie Amponsah of Los Angeles; writing rubber checks

The state of California provided Leslie Victor Amponsah with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School.

The California State Bar found Leslie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
  • Wrote numerous checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Violated rules by using trust account to pay personal expenses
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Leslie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Leslie.

Because California Attorney Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jimmy was never criminally prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Leslie practices with Landrum & Amponsah at 5120 West Goldleaf Circle in Los Angeles, California.
