Attorney Jeremiah Valdez of Alhambra, CA; check bouncer, serial offender

The state of California provided Jeremiah Flores Valdez with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines Law School.

The California State Bar found Jeremiah guilty of the following misconduct.

Jeremiah’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Wrote checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to obtain doctor’s signature on settlement check
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to record settlement checks in client ledger

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

Jeremiah’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Wrote 2 checks totaling $8,000 on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to submit three quarterly probation reports
• Failed to submit certificates from accountant to State Bar
• Failed to perform legal services competently (idiot)

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Jeremiah’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with probation conditions re: prior disciplinary order
• Failed to file quarterly probation reports
• Failed to file certified public accountant reports

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Jeremiah by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

Because California Attorney Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jeremiah was never criminally prosecuted for writing bad checks.
