2017 Oscar: Best Actor in Leading Lunatic Role

As one could imagine, the number of Lunatics running amuck in the entertainment industry, which of course in many instances includes members of Congress, is so overwhelming that to do justice to the deserving candidates would require naming at least 50 nominees. However, in the interest of time, the Academy has decided to limit the number of nominees to five (5).

Winnowing down a list of deserving Lunatics for the voters to consider was a monumental and time consuming task. With that said, the eventual winner and the four losing candidates for this Prestigious Award are listed below.

Articles dealing with their enduring Loony accomplishments can be found by visiting the “Lunatic Award” category where you’ll find their names listed alphabetically.

And the 2017 Oscar goes to:

U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas

And the 2017 four Losing Nominees are:

  • Alex Jones of InfoWars
  • Rush “The Doper” Limbaugh
  • Ted Nugent: NRA (Nat’l Rife Assn) board member
  • Michael Savage: host of the “Savage Nation”
