Attorney Frank Louis of Toms River, NJ; ethical gremlin

The state of New Jersey presented Frank A. Louis with a law license in 1973 after she graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Frankie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with a judge
  • Advised judge Melanie Appleby regarding her own matrimonial issues while he had other legal matters pending before her
  • Engaged in egregious misconduct
  • Drafter letter on Judge Appleby’s behalf to send to her ex-husband’s attorney on the matter of discontinuing child support for son who was about to graduate from college

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Frankie practices at in Toms River, New Jersey.
