Attorney Macario Carpio of the Philippines; cheating loser

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Mario Diaz Carpio with a law license in 1965 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines Law School.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Mario guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Charged an unfair, exorbitant and unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Failed to hold client funds in client trust accounts
  • Failed to deliver funds to clients when due or upon demand
  • Unjustifiably held onto client’s title with obvious aim of forcing the client to agree to amount of fees that Mario demanded from the client
  • Engaged in an inordinate delay in deliver funds owing to client
  • Abused exercise of an attorney’s retaining lien
  • Unlawfully withheld delivery of title to cleint despite repeated demands
  • Failed to uphold the laws of the land
  • Failed to promote respect for the law and legal process
  • Failed to hold client funds in client trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Philippine Supreme Court punished Mario by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Mario practices in Manila, Philippines.
