Attorney Robert Medel of the Philippines; check bouncer

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Robert W. Medel with a law license in 1956 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines Law School.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Arnulfo guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in gross misconduct
  • Engaged in high-handed manner with ethics investigator (Up yours, said Bobby!)
  • Failed to show respect to disciplinary authorities
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Raised his voice and left disciplinary hearing without consent
  • Fell short of good moral character
  • Repeatedly issued worthless checks (rubber)
  • Refused to make good on at least 4 bounced checks

Because Attorney Misfits in the Philippines are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Bobby was never criminally charged with writing bad checks.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Philippine Supreme Court punished Arnulfo by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Arnulfo practices in Bacolod, Samar, Philippines.
