Attorney Leon Maquera of the Philippines; thieving loser

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Leon G. Maquera with a law license in 1958 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines Law School. Leon also received a law license to practice in Guam in 1974.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Leon guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with fidelity towards his clients
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in bad faith in acquiring rights to property
  • Billed and collected $203,000 in unearned fees from client (thief)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Philippine Supreme Court punished Leon by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2017), Leon practices in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
