Attorney Bruce Pritikin of New York City; ethical leprechaun

The state of New York presented Bruce Gilbert Pritikin with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from St. John’s University Law School.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Deposited a client's personal and business funds into his IOLA account in order to help the client avoid the attachment of various outstanding tax liens and judgments
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly wrote 38 checks from trust account payable to cash

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Bruce practices with 40 DDK & Co. LLP at 1 Penn Plaza in New York, New York.
