Attorney Michael Powell of New Orleans; criminal

The state of Louisiana presented Michael Kevin Powell with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Louisiana State (LSU) University Law School.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Committed a criminal act
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on honesty and trustworthiness
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2017) Mike practices with Lee, Futrell & Perles at 201 Saint Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana.
