Attorney Elizabeth Ramsey of West Palm Beach, FL; ethical dwarf

The state of Florida presented Elizabeth Cherylann Ramsey with a law license in 2004 after she graduated Rutgers University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Liz guilty of the following misconduct, all of which occurred while employed as a Public Defender in West Palm Beach.  

• Pretended to laugh during a court hearing
• Performed gagging gesture during court proceeding
• Sticking her finger down her throat in a "gagging gesture" while a prosecutor questioned a witness during a hearing involving a murder case
• Played a jailhouse phone call of a private conversation between the same prosecution witness and his daughter
• Undermined public's confidence in the system of justice while raising questions
• Engaged in conduct questioning her fitness as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Liz by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Liz continues to be employed by the Office of the Public Defender at 421 Third Street in West Palm Beach, Florida.
