Attorney Calvin Moss of Bettendorf, IA; check bouncer, repeater

The state of Iowa presented Calvin Earl Moss with a law license in 1986.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Repeatedly wrote checks on insufficient funds account(rubber)
  • Repeatedly delivered funds to sellers in real estate transactions prior to proceeds from real estate sales clearing bank
  • Refused to take personal responsibility for writing bad checks
  • Falsely answered question pertaining to bad checks in two yearly Client Security Questionnaires
  • Trust account overdrawn on at least five occasions

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Alex’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Calvin by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Iowa are held to a much lower standard of conduct, Gordy was never criminally prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Calvin practices with the Moss Law Firm at 2395 Tech Drive in Bettendorf, Iowa.
