Attorney Alex Smith of Des Moines; ethical elf

The state of Iowa presented Alex Daniel-McGinnis Smith with a law license in 2013.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Alex guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to be accurate in reply to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Alex!)
• Repeatedly late when reporting to work while employed with the Iowa Civil Rights Commission
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca.  November 2017), Alex practices in Des Moines, Iowa.
