Attorney Michael Hodson of North Little Rock, AR; slacker, serial offender

 

The state of Arkansas presented Michael Scott Hodson with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

 

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Prior to the following misconduct, Mike received one (1) complimentary caution and one (1) complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct. 

 

Mike’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to take action to accomplish the objective of the representation with regard to a guardianship matter
  • Failed to consult with client as to the means to achieve client objectives
  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to promptly respond to client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Mike’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed under rules of a tribunal
  • Used means solely to harass or embarrass another person
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary caution

 

Mike’s 5th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
  • Failed to provide client with properly written fee agreement
  • Failed to take necessary steps to protect client interests after being fired
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
