Judge Timothy Philpot of Lexington, KY; ethical dwarf

The state of Alabama presented Timothy Neil Philpot with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Timmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Used judicial office to advance the private interests of others
  • Failed to perform his judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Improperly disclosure of or use of nonpublic information.
  • Improperly required couples with children to participate in special hearings to determine whether a marriage was broken

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Timmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2017), Timmy continues to sit as a Fayette Family Court Judge in Lexington, Kentucky.
