Attorney James Mrzlak of Center, CO; ethical goblin

The state of Colorado provided James N. Mrzlak with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation 

• Entered into business transaction with a client in her 80s w/o advising her in writing to 

• seek independent legal counsel 

• Failed to obtain written informed consent to the client business transaction

• Secured $239,00 client loan with Jimmy’s property valued at $59,348

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2017), Jimmy practices in Center, Colorado.
