Attorney Dennis Sullivan Jr. of Wilmington, NC; tax cheat

The state of North Carolina presented Bryan E. Gates Jr. with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Campbell University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Denny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay employee withholding taxes
  • Failed to notify State Bar of correspondence with the IRS
  • Failed to advise State Bar of additional liens filed against by the IRS

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Carolina State Bar punished Denny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina State Bar Disciplinary Board didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Denny.

As we speak (ca. February 2017) Denny practices at 29 North Third Street in Wilmington, North Carolina.
