Attorney Charles M. Travis of Chicago; Dumbo, ethically impotent

Charles Travis was provided with a law license in 1977.

From 1996 to 2004, Travis was a Circuit Court Judge in Cook County.

In 2002, the Illinois Judicial Commission filed an ethics complaint against Judge Charles Travis, which included the following charges of misconduct.
  1. On at least 3 occasions used his judicial status to advance his own personal interests
  2. Used an unofficial (BS) “judicial badge” to avoid receiving a speeding ticket
  3. Attempted to induce a police officer to cite a motorist for traffic violations based solely upon his requests and with any investigation
  4. Called the Chief Judge of another court and sought redress (personal favor) over a warrant issued for his daughter’s arrest
As punishment for his egregious misconduct the apologists on the Illinois Supreme Court gifted Travis with a one month suspension. Again this merely proves that Judicial Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then we are.

As we speak (ca. May 2011) this certified loser practices law at 726 Hackberry Court in Bartlett, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago.
