Attorney Ronald Hellewell of Salem, OR; slacker, serial offender

 

The state of Oregon provided Ronald M. Hellewell with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Williamette University Law School.

 

The Oregon State Bar found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to respond to Court of Appeals communication
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to carry out work assigned to him as public defender
  • Victims of misconduct were vulnerable
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Ronnie!)
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Ronnie’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary admonishments for engaging in a variety of misconduct

 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. December 2016) Ronnie practices at 1596 Liberty Street SE in Salem, Oregon.
