Attorney Edgardo Baez of San Antonio; ethical gremlin

The state of Texas provided Edgardo Rafael Baez with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Southern University Law School.

The District 10 Grievance Committee found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to maintain client funds in trust account
• Failed to promptly notify and deliver funds to third parties
• Failed to return client’s file after termination
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 5-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Eddie.
