Attorney David Fleming-Hughes of Dallas; ethical leprechaun

The state of Texas provided David Fleming-Hughes with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Baylor University Law School.

The District 14 Grievance Committee found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to advise client of receipt of $50,000 settlement check
• Failed to promptly deliver funds owing to client re: $50,000 check

As consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 5-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Dave.
