Judge Robert Ruehlman of Cincinnati; incompetent boob

It should be noted that Bobby has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-nine years (ca. 1977 to 2016). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Cincinnati area was about to offer Bobby a good paying job.

In one matter,Judge Ruehlman was assigned to preside over a medical malpractice case involving Dr. Abubaker Atiq Durrani and several local Cincinnati hospitals.

Dr. Durrani was a local Cincinnati surgeon who was indicted on federal health-care charges and faced civl cases for performing unnecessary surgeries.

On his motion, Bobby the Boob (BB) decided to consolidate 10 or more pending malpractice cases then pending against Dr. Durrani, all of which were at the time assigned to other Common Pleas Judges.

Without obtaining the authorization of the Common Pleas Administrative Judge, BB executed an illegal order assigning all of the cases to his court and he did so by leaving blank the signature line for the Administrative judge on his illegal court order.

Subsequently, most of the defendant insurance companies sought relief from BB’s illegal order with the First District Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. That court summarily reversed BB’s illegal order and its reversal said in part:

• BB failed to follow state or local court rules
• Defendants had a clear legal right to their requests that were ignored by BB
• BB “patently and unambiguously” acted without jurisdiction
• BB lacked the authority of the administrative judge to control the docket of other judges

In reversing BB, the Court of Appeals ordered that each case that BB illegally usurped from other judges by assigning them to himself were to be reassigned to the original judges.

As we speak (ca. December 2016), BB continues to sit as a Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas judge in Cincinnati, Ohio.
