Solicitor Philip Hogg of Scotland; cheating loser

The Law Society presented Philip Ian Hogg with a law license in 1993.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to assure firm complied with accounts rules
  • Failed in duty to supervise office manager and cashier
  • Failed to take steps to assure himself that fees charged to executors were proper
  • Failed to see that all times sums at credit of client account exceeded sums due to clients
  • Continued to draw funds from firm while it was being financed by overcharges to clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2016), Phil practices at 9 Crossdykes, Kirkintilloch, Scotland.
