Solicitor John Muir of Scotland; ethical leprechaun

The Law Society presented John Clarke Muir with a law license in 1986.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Failed to adequately supervise employees
  • Failed to establish practice and duties owed to clients
  • Failed to report to lenders unusual circumstances
  • Failed to comply with obligations re: CML Handbook
  • Failed to act with absolutely propriety to protect client interests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2016), Johnny practices with Muir Myles Laverty at Meadow Place Buildings, Bell Street in Dundee, Edinburgh, Scotland.
