Attorney David Shields of Mystic, CT; ethical leprechaun

The state of Connecticut provided David S. Shields II with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Pace University Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Ridgley guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dave!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Charged an unreasonable fee
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Ridgley’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Ridgley by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2016) Dave practices with Shields Law LLC at 33 Church Street in Mystic, Connecticut.
