Today’s “Bullshit”Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to The Don. In the past, he has been the recipient of forty (40) Awards in various categories and the subject of seventeen (17) opinions and two (2) laments. Those awards, opinion pieces and laments are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (mid-November 2016) tweet, The Don decided to once again dupe his supporters by spewing forth yet another Monumental Lie.

During his campaign, The Don repeatedly targeted Ford Motor for announcing it was building an assembly plant in Mexico rather than the U.S. of A. He also went after Carrier Air Conditioner for eliminating 1400 jobs in Indianapolis by moving its factory to Mexico.

The Don then laughingly claimed as President he would be able to threaten U.S. companies with tariffs of 35% or more if they moved their manufacturing plants to Mexico and that said threats would cause them to keep their plants in America.

In his tweet, The Don falsely claimed that through his personal intervention, Ford agreed to keep its manufacturing plant in Louisville, Kentucky rather than move it to Mexico. Towards that end, The Don stated:

“Just got a call from my friend Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford, who advised me that he will be keeping the Lincoln plant in Kentucky - no Mexico.”

“I worked hard with Bill Ford to keep the Lincoln plant in Kentucky,”

“I owed it to the great State of Kentucky for their confidence in me.”

The problem with The Don’s self-serving statements is that Ford never indicated nor stated that it was closing the Louisville plant and moving it to Mexico. In fact, Ford made it known to the United Auto Workers union that it fully intended to maintain the factory in Louisville and its jobs.

How many Kentuckians who voted for Trump feel good and special today knowing that The Don owed it to them “for their confidence in him” to be the primary recipients of his newly minted falsehood.

How long will it take for die hard Trump supporters to finally understand that they’ve been duped by a Congenital Liar and Monumental Buffoon?
