Attorney James Vann of Raleigh, NC; liar, repeat offender

The state of North Carolina presented James R. Vann with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Samford University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Submitted false statement to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
  • Falsified documentation with potential evidentiary value
  • Misconduct involved selfish or dishonest motive
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jimmy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously disciplined for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2016) Jimmy practices Vann Attorneys PLLC at 1720 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
