Attorney Robert Griffith II of Southport, NC; serial tax cheat

The state of North Carolina presented Robert S. Griffith II with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Campbell University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to pay federal income taxes for seven consecutive years
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to pay individual state income taxes for seven consecutive years
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Committee didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bobby.

As we speak (ca. November 2016) Bobby practices in Southport, North Carolina.
