Attorney Eric Spiegelman of Los Angeles, CA; lying loser

The state of California provided Eric J. Spiegelman with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings Law School.

The California State Bar Court found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Eric found it acceptable to file a false report to the California State Bar that he had completed his MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education) requirements during the mandated compliance period when in fact he had not done so.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.  

Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Eric wasn’t criminally charged with perjury.
