Judge Paul H. Lawrence of Manchester, NH; Il Duce Wannabee, ethical gnome

Judge Paul H. Lawrence unfortunately has been sitting on the Goffstown District Court in Manchester, New Hampshire for thirty years. Lawrence has apparently dedicated the lion’s share of his unremarkable legal career to porking out at the public trough.

According to documents filed with the Judicial Commission Il Duce has been involved in a bitter dispute wherein he recused himself from hearing any cases involving Police Lieutenant Carney. The dispute involved Judge Lawrence’s apparent bias of Lieutenant Carney.

Il Duce (aka, Benito Mussolin) was also accused of enaging in an egregious abuse of office. However, the enablers on the Judicial Commission gave Lawrence the proverbial wink and a nod in dismissing this portion of the complaint.

In a lame attempt at levity, Judge Lawrence had the chutzpah to question the lieutenant’s credibility with a local prosecutor. This is akin to Lindsay Lohan questioning the credibility of Charlie Sheen!

Lieutenant Carney’s lawyer, state Rep. Tony Soltani, R-Epsom, a former Weare prosecutor himself, is representing Carney for free because he believes Judge Lawrence’s behavior was egregious.

Soltani said he plans to file legislation seeking Judge Lawrence’s removal by impeachment, alleging he violated state law and the Code of Judicial Conduct in his bias against Carney.

The enablers on the Judicial Commission punished Judge Lawrence by gifting him with a complimentary caution. Goshes and Gollies and Gee Whillickers, I bet that really hurt, right?

Hopefully, Rep. Tony Soltani will be successful in getting Il Duce impeached, thereby allowing Lawrence to apply for a job as a greeter at the Wal-Mart located at 300 Keller Street in Manchester.

And if Lawrence’s application at Wal-Mart doesn’t bear any fruit, he could always opt to enroll in the Master Bartender School at 84 Main Street in Newmarket, New Hampshire.
