Judge Michael Gary of New York City; bullying loser

The state of New York presented Michael A. Gary with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) Law School.

Former Gov. Mario Cuomo was duped into appointing Mike as a New York City judge in 1987. Mike didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the New York City area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Mike has had his significant snout firm implanted in the public trough for the past forty-one (1975 to 2016) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater New York City area was about to offer Mike a good paying job.

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Gary guilty of the following misconduct.

• Threatened DA with contempt of court if defendant on trial for rape was arrested for threatening a trial witness
• Stated at trial of rapist that if he was arrested for making threats that he would grant the defense’s motion for a mistrial with prejudice (means rape charge gone forever)
• Illegally threatened monetary sanctions v. DA if mistrial was granted
• Lacked any lawful basis to threaten contempt actions against DA assistants

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (November 2016), Mike continues to sit as a New York City Criminal Court judge.
