Judge Allan Tereshko of Philadelphia; ethical gremlin

The state of Pennsylvania presented Allan Tereshko with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Temple University Law School.

In one matter, Allan knowingly violated the Code of Judicial Conduct when he made a $1,000 campaign contribution to Donald Trump.

The Code of Judicial Conduct specifically states that a judge cannot “make a contribution to a political organization or a candidate for public office” unless he is running for election himself.”

There is no dispute that Allan is not running for election since he was re-elected to the bench in November 2013. However, when Allan turned 70, Pennsylvania’s judicial retirement age, he became a part-time senior judge. Put simply, Allan continues to oversee cases as a part-time-senior judge.

In his zeal to promote the candidacy of The Don, Allan decided the Code of Judicial Conduct didn’t apply to him.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Allan by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

It should be noted that in 2012, a Superior Court chastised Allan when he failed to disclose that his wife had worked for a law firm that represented a defendant in a case he was presiding over. Allan’s misconduct led to him resigning him position as supervising judge of Philadelphia’s civil cases.

As we speak (November 2016), Allan continues to sit as a part-time senior judge in Philadelphia.
