Today’s “Crooked Judge” Award Winner
Judge Richard Markus has dedicated his judicial career to acting as a complaint lackey and enabler for crooked attorneys.
Beginning in 1998 and continuing through 2011, Judge Markus has had his significant snout implanted in the public trough. During this time he has acted as a visiting retired judge in numerous counties throughout Ohio.
Markus’ wage reports prove beyond all doubt that he has consistently billed for hours he never worked. His favorite targets have been courts in Cleveland, Delaware and Toledo.
The victims of Markus’ deplorable misconduct are far too many to mention herein. Suffice it to say that he has dedicated his judicial career to the total avoidance of propriety in dispensing with justice rather than dispensing it.
In a recent matter, Markus knowingly assisted a crooked attorney in perpetrating a fraud on a senior citizen who is also disabled. Markus did so even though he was in possession of court records proving beyond all doubt that the attorney’s claims were a total fabrication. In fact, documents signed and filed with Markus proved the attorney was engaged in a massive fraud.
Markus has a documented history of acting as an official panderer (aka, pimp) for crooked attorneys. It is indeed a sad commentary on the state of the judiciary in Ohio that a certified crook and loser like Markus is able to continue to receive appointments from the Supreme Court of Ohio.
 A conservative estimate of the public funds that Markus has consumed via the submission of fabricated work claims is at least $200,000. And this doesn’t include the sham travel expenses that he’s pocketed from numerous Ohio counties.
Congrats Dick; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as a crooked judge; you are far too modest.
