Judge Aaron Persky of San Jose; enabler for criminals

The state of California presented Michael Aaron Persky with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of California Berkeley Law School.

Former Gov. Gray Davis was duped into appointing Aaron as a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge in 1993. Aaron didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the San Jose area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Aaron has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past nineteen years (1997 to 2016). Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater San Jose area was about to offer him a good paying job.

In one matter, Judge Persky was assigned to preside over the case of Keenan Smith, who was a football player at the College of San Mateo who was charged with assaulting his girlfriend.

After his arrest and indictment on the assault charges, agreed to a plea deal regarding the domestic violence he so cheerfully visited upon his girlfriend. The plea deal arranged by judge Persky resulted him sentencing Mr. Smith to 32 days in jail, 28 days of community service and an order that he attend domestic violation prevention classes for one year.

ABC News 7 in San Francisco reported that as of mid-October 2016, that Mr. Smith had only served 28 days of his sentence and has continued to play college football. It is rumored that Judge Persky approved Mr. Smith’s application to attend the Mel Gibson Institute for Wife Beaters located in Hollywood, California.

This is the same Judge Persky who sentenced convicted Stanford rapist Brock Turner to a complimentary six-month sentence after he assaulted an unconscious woman on the Stanford campus.

Judge Persky’s enabling conduct in regards to men who assault and or rape women is disturbing to say the least. In truth, Persky is an embarrassment to all well-intentioned misogynists.
