Attorney Owen Myers of Newfoundland, CAN; idiot, repeat offender

The Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador presented Keith S. Morgan with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Dalhousie University Law School.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Disciplinary Committee found Owen guilty of the following misconduct.

Owen’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to respond to client inquiries
  • Failed to cooperate with new solicitor hired by client
  • Failed to return unearned retainer fee (cheater)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Owen!)
  • Gave misleading responses to client inquiries

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Owen by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

Owen’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to refund unearned retainer (cheater)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Owen by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Owen practices at 50 Monkstown Road in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
