Judge Barbara Haynes of Nashville; certified Dufus, ethically destitute  
Judge Barbara Haynes has spent the lion’s share of her adult life porking out at the public trough. The same could basically be said for her attorney husband Joe M. Haynes who sits as a member of the Tennessee State Senate.
Recently, the Tennessee Court of Appeals reversed Judge Haynes due to the appearance of bias. As you’ll see below Judge Barbara Haynes is intellectually incapable of understanding what the term “appearance of bias” actually means. Put simply, she’s a Dufus!
Judge Haynes presided over a medical malpractice case wherein Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt was a defendant. Last year (2010), Judge Haynes dismissed the malpractice suit.
Of course this unethical Dufus failed to inform defense counsel that she was a voting member and former chairwoman of the Children’s Hospital’s board of directors. Based on this misconduct, the Court of Appeals ordered that the Dufus be removed from sitting on the case and reversed her biased ruling dismissing the medical malpractice case.
Apparently, Barbara the Dufus has a history of remaining on cases when a conflict of interest exists. Attorneys representing Tower Investments in a case against Metro Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) asked the Dufus to step down because of family ties; however she refused. In this matter, Barbara’s daughter is a partner at Miller and Martin, the law firm that represents MDHA.
It goes without saying that Judge Barbara Haynes will never face any punishment for her misconduct due to the f
 act that Judicial Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then we are.
How in the world do certified losers and ethical dwalike this ever get on the bench? Apparently, Barbara and her husband Joey acted as compliant lackeys for the local political party in Nashville, which resulted in her being awarded with a judgeship.
