The state of Virginia presented Clifton Carlyle Hicks with a law license in 1999.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Cliff guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to safeguard client property
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Cliff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
