The state of Virginia presented Hilton Gordon Oliver with a law license in 1980.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Hilton guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act fairly towards opposing counsel
• Failed to respect the rights of a third person

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Hilton by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
