Attorney Michael Caviness of Chadbourn, NC; thieving loser

The state of North Carolina provided Michael Paul Caviness with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter,Mike submitted three fee applications to Judge Douglas B. Sasser for court-appointed representation of  juveniles. Judge Sasser found that Mike’s applications contained misrepresentations [falsehoods] concerning the time Mike spent in the three matters and the fees that he was lawfully due.

In his fee applications, Mike listed time spent in court such that the three fee applications indicated that he had spent a total of 10.5 hours in court for the three juvenile cases when in fact the court session on those days only lasted 1.5 hours. Put simply, Mike attempted to collect a clearly excessive fee.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Ronnie by gifting him with a third complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2016) Mike practices at 3115 Andrew Jackson Highway in Chadbourn, North Carolina.
