Attorney Craig Elkins of Bellevue, WA; cheating slacker

The state of Washington presented Craig Richard Elkins with a law license in 1984.

The Washington State Bar found Craig guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Charged or attempted to collect unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Improperly declined or terminated representation
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Craig by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license effective May 2016.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Craig will begin practicing again in May 2017 at 14=5405 SE 37th Street in Bellevue, Washington.
